Following a successful competitive tender, Cranfold was awarded the contract for the redevelopment of the Old David Manns building.
The project involved the extensive redevelopment of the existing building to create seven modern apartments, including some benefiting from outdoor amenity space, together with a spacious commercial unit at ground-floor level.
The works presented a number of logistical and technical challenges, including operating within a busy High Street location, carrying out construction works above a live shop and tearoom, and carefully integrating the new construction with the historic oak-framed building adjoining the site.
